Regulation

Licensing: As a private early childhood program, Meeting House is licensed by the State Department of Health and Family Services. We are licensed for 74 children aged 2-6 years old. The purpose of licensing is to protect and promote the health, safety and welfare of children. Periodic visits are made by a State Licensing Specialist and involve the inspection of the school's records and facility. The school is re-licensed every 2 years.

City Accreditation: Although the school is located in the Village of Shorewood Hills, Meeting House is accredited by the City of Madison Child Care Unit of the Office of Community Services. Accreditation specialists make annual visits to the school, focusing on program content and staff/child interactions.

Young Star: Meeting House Nursery School is rated a 5-star program in the Young Star Quality Rating Scale in the state of Wisconsin. Programs are given 1 to 5 stars based on several criteria including education of Staff, accreditation, and quality of programming. The maximum number of stars awarded to a program is five.
