COVID-19 Policies and Procedures

The following documents describes policies and procedures staff have been using to ensure a safe and fun school year.

FAQ – MHNS COVID Policies

8/24/2022 COVID Policies and Procedures Update; 2022-2023 school year (PDF)

COVID Policies and Procedures Update; 2022-2023 school year

  1. Illness:

Students or staff who come to Meeting House Nursery School with symptoms or develop symptoms while at school will be asked to wear a well-fitting mask while in the building and be sent home and required to get tested for COVID. All current illness policies will also apply.

     2. Testing Requirements:

  • If you have symptoms, test immediately.
  • If you were exposed to COVID-19 and do not have symptoms, wait at least 5 full days after your exposure before testing. If you test too early, you may be more likely to get an inaccurate result. During this time you must wear a mask.
  • Consider testing before contact with someone at high risk for severe COVID-19, especially if you are in an area with a medium or high COVID-19 Community Levels.
  1. Isolation guidelines:
  • MHNS will continue to follow the CDC guidelines for isolation for staff and students.
  • Isolation Guidelines
  1. Masking
  • MHNS will require anyone in our facility over the age of 2 to wear a well fitting medical grade mask inside when the Dane County Metric levels reach high.
  • Children will be asked to wear a mask when they present symptoms at school of COVID. They will also be removed from class and isolated with a staff member till they can be picked up by a parent or guardian.
  • Children and staff will be asked to wear a mask when there is one COVID exposure  within their classroom.
  • Masks will be optional when the Dane County metric is at Low or Medium levels. The current metric will be posted on the doors at MHNS. It can also be found at Dane County Department of Public health
  • When MHNS requires masking we  strongly recommend the use of N95 medical grade masks for every individual.

MHNS will allow for exceptions to account for children and staff with disabilities.https://www.ed.gov/coronavirus/factsheets/disability-rights
